Dipl.-Ing. Hermann van Laak

Hermann van Laak studied mechanical engineering with a focus on plastics processing at the Institute for Plastics Processing (IKV) at RWTH Aachen University. At Hoechst AG, he worked in research and development for PE-UHMW (Hostalen GUR). After many years as managing director at Plasticon Germany GmbH, a plastics piping and apparatus manufacturer (specializing in composite materials with or without liner), he worked for a short time as sales manager at Steuler-KCH in the same market segment. Since 2015, he has been responsible for standardization (e.g. at DVS, DVGW, DIN, CEN, ISO and IOGP) and certification (incl.
