In the LangKleb project (IGF no. 01IF21578N), investigations were conducted into the optimisation of the mechanical long-time properties of adhesive- bonded joints between additively manufactured plastic components. For comparison purposes, consideration was given to joining parts from injection moulding and made of extruded plate material. The utilised additive manufacturing procedures, i.e. “fused de-position modelling” (FDM) and “digital light processing” (DLP), are frequent in industry. In addition to the optimisation of the adhesive bondability, another central objective of the project was to derive application-related guidelines which are intended for designing additively manufactured components in a way appropriate for adhesive bonding and will supplement the “DVS 1401 technical bulletin”.
