M. Sc. Raphael Freund

Raphael Freund studied materials science and materials engineering at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg from 2009 to 2015, specialising in "Materials of Energy and Electrical Engineering", "Crystal Growth" and "Glass and Ceramics". Since 2017, he has been working as a research assistant at the Institute of Design Technology at TU Braunschweig in the Additive Manufacturing Processes working group. In his research, he deals with design for additive manufacturing and in particular investigates the design freedoms and restrictions of lattice structures. Particularly complex form-fitting anchoring structures for adhesive and multi-material applications are the core topic of his investigations.
