There, he subsequently studied Mechanical Engineering at the Technical College. Since 1971, the graduate engineer has been active in the Research and Development Department at KUKA Schweißanlagen und Roboter GmbH. There, he collaborated not only in the development and design of the first KUKA robot and its uses, in the development of new robot applications for various industrial fields and in the development of the sensor technology for automated fabrication installations with and without robots but also in the cell + installation planning for robots as well as of conventional fabrication lines in the automobile sector. Hans Richard Tradt assumed responsibility for the management of the Sensor Equipment and Robot Peripherals Development Group as well as for the management of the projects promoted by the EU and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
