M. Sc. Mark Pätzel
Mark Pätzel holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from RWTH University, specialising in plastics and textile technology. Since October 2020, he has been working as a research assistant at the Institute of Textile Technology at RWTH University in the Polymer Optical Fibers (POF) group in the field of monofilament technology with the aim of obtaining a doctorate. His research focuses on the production of PFAS-free POF in particular using the bicomponent melt spinning process, as well as surface modification, textile processing and the application of commercial and self-produced POF.
