Dr.-Ing. Maximilian Brosda Flockenhaus

Dr Maximilian Brosda Flockenhaus heads the Joining of Plastics and Transparent Materials group at the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT.  He studied mechanical engineering and product management at RWTH Aachen University and at the University of Applied Science in Aachen. He initially worked for the company Prolas in the field of quality assurance and application in laser welding of plastics before becoming self-employed in the field of spectral quality assurance of plastics. He has been working for the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT since 2010. Initially in the field of polishing plastics and glass using laser radiation and since 2013 as a research assistant in the field of laser welding of plastics. Since 2016, he has also been working as a lecturer for the Chair of Laser Technology LLT at RWTH Aachen University. He completed his doctorate on the laser processing of multilayer plastic films at RWTH Aachen University.
