Dr.-Ing. Alexander Schiebahn

Dr.-Ing. Alexander Schiebahn studied mechanical engineering with focus on production technology at the RWTH Aachen University until 2009. From 2009 to 2013, he worked as a research assistant in the department for resistance welding processes, which was expanded in 2009 to include the friction stir welding (FSW) process. Mr. Schiebahn also completed his training as a welding engineer in 2009. Since August 2013, Mr. Schiebahn has held the position of senior engineer in the ISF for the areas of resistance welding, ultrasonic welding, friction stir welding, adhesive bonding technology and welding simulation.
